Terms and Conditions of Sale

Please read carefully. By submitting a quote request or confirming an order with Monde du Sauna Inc., you agree to be bound by these terms and conditions.

1. The Company

2. Order and Confirmation

• All orders begin with a quote request. An order is confirmed only upon signing a purchase order and receipt of a deposit.
• Quotes are valid for 30 days from the date of issue.
• Monde du Sauna Inc. reserves the right to refuse any order that conflicts with its production or delivery capacity.
• Any change after confirmation must be submitted in writing and may result in additional costs or delays.

3. Pricing, Taxes and Payment

• All prices are in Canadian dollars (CAD), before applicable taxes (GST and QST).
• Listed prices do not include shipping, installation, or taxes — these are calculated based on your location.
• The heater is sold separately unless otherwise specified in the quote.
• A deposit of 50% is required upon order confirmation. The balance is due prior to delivery.
• For electric heaters: the final electrical connection must be completed by a licensed electrician at the client's expense.

The online quote form is not a sales contract and does not require any payment.

4. Delivery and Installation

• The delivery timeline is confirmed at the time of order. It may vary based on your location, material availability and our production schedule. No fixed timeline can be guaranteed at the quote stage.
• Delivery, assembly and installation are carried out by the Monde du Sauna Inc. team.
• The client must prepare a level surface (compacted gravel, concrete slab, wood decking or patio) before our team arrives. No special foundation is required.
• The client must ensure that site access is clear and accessible for a delivery vehicle.
• Any delay caused by inadequate access or an unprepared surface may result in a rescheduled delivery and additional travel fees.
• For electric heaters: our team delivers and positions the heater. The final electrical connection must be made by a licensed electrician at the client's expense. We recommend booking your electrician for the same day as delivery.
• For wood-burning heaters: our team handles delivery, heater installation and complete chimney connection.
  

5. Warranty

• Monde du Sauna Inc. provides a 1-year warranty on the structure and assembly, from the date of delivery.
• Western red cedar is a natural, living wood: color variations, knots, minor shape changes caused by humidity and heat cycles, and surface cracks are natural characteristics — not defects covered by the warranty.
• The warranty covers manufacturing and assembly defects attributable to Monde du Sauna Inc.
• The warranty is void if the sauna has been modified, improperly maintained, exposed to chemicals, or used contrary to our recommendations.
• Heaters are covered by the respective manufacturer's warranty. Monde du Sauna Inc. will assist with any warranty claims.
• The optional Sauna Care Program extends the life of your sauna through annual maintenance by our team (additional fees apply).

6. Cancellation and Refunds

• All cancellations must be submitted in writing to info@mondedusauna.com.
• Before production begins: full deposit refund.
• After production begins: deposit is retained in full to cover materials and labour costs incurred.
• After delivery and installation: no refund, except for manufacturing defects covered by the warranty.
• In the event of force majeure, Monde du Sauna Inc. may cancel an order and will refund all amounts paid.

7. Client Responsibilities — Legal Compliance

The client is solely responsible for ensuring that the sauna installation and use comply with all applicable laws and regulations on their property.

• Verify municipal zoning bylaws and the required minimum distances between the sauna and property boundaries, streets or neighbouring structures
• Comply with any rules set by a condominium corporation or shared residential complex
• Obtain all required construction, mechanical or electrical permits from the relevant municipality
• Notify your home insurer of the sauna installation
• Comply with fire prevention codes, particularly for wood-burning heaters
• Ensure the building's electrical capacity is sufficient for an electric heater

8. Natural Characteristics of Cedar

• Color variations, knots and irregular wood grain are natural characteristics of cedar, not defects
• The wood may expand, contract or show minor shape changes due to temperature and humidity cycles — this is normal, especially during the first weeks of use
• The exterior walls are protected by a water-repellent treatment that prevents water from penetrating the wood while allowing it to breathe naturally
• No chemical coating is applied to the interior: the natural cedar patina evolves over time
• Regular maintenance (natural oil treatment, annual cleaning) extends the life of your sauna

9. Health and Safety Warnings

Consult your physician before using the sauna if you have any medical condition.

• Do not use the sauna under the influence of alcohol, drugs or blood pressure medication
• Never leave young children or vulnerable individuals unsupervised
• Limit sessions to 15-20 minutes and stay well hydrated
• Consult a doctor if pregnant, or if you have cardiovascular disease, high blood pressure, diabetes or any other health condition

Monde du Sauna Inc. accepts no liability for bodily injury resulting from use that does not comply with safety recommendations.

10. Governing Law

• These terms are governed by the laws of the Province of Quebec and applicable federal laws of Canada.
• Any dispute will first be subject to an amicable resolution attempt between the parties.

11. Acceptance

By submitting a quote request or confirming an order with Monde du Sauna Inc., you acknowledge having read, understood and accepted these terms and conditions in full.
